Two of my favorite activities to do in Gainesville happen in October – Coon Hollo Corn Maze and the Alachua County Fair! It’s finally starting to cool down and is much more comfortable for family photographs. These two locations are perfect for capturing fun and unique family lifestyle photographs – that will truly show off your family’s spirit and personality.
Looking for fun, color, excitement – the fair is the place! I photographed photographer Shannon Whitaker’s family last year at the Bradford County Fair and we had a BLAST! I just love how these images show off the wacky personalities of this great family. The Alachua County Fair is going on from October 18th through the 26th. If you are interested in having a session there shoot me an email at from my contact page – I currently only have October 18th, 19th, 20th, and 23rd open. You can reserve either a Standard Session or an All Inclusive Extended Session. See details over here. Remember, you will have to pay for your admission (including your photographer).
If Fall is your thing and you like vintage farm trucks, hay, pumpkins, and lots of orange – then Coon Hollo Corn Maze is the place to be. I just love this place – I go every year with my family and I’ve done a few sessions there. Below are just a couple of my favorites from here. They are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays October 18th through November 3rd. The best time to photograph here is towards the end of the day- the light is just stunning! Check out my Fall Availability for openings. Remember – you will have to purchase your admission separately (including your photographer).
