Signature Session

As you can see from my portfolio, my style of photography is quite different from that of a traditional portrait studio. My style is much more casual and relaxed, and more about capturing natural and candid interactions and moments instead of forced smiles and awkward poses. The images captured from your session will reveal the true spirit and essence that make you and your family unique. I conduct the majority of my sessions on location, either at your home, nearby park or other favorite location. I also have a residential studio that is reserved for newborns and babies to capture milestones.

Custom photography is an important part of family life, think of it as investing in your memories.  With my sessions I provide every client with beautiful imagery, the highest quality prints and products, as well as a variety of boutique options.  I typically book 2-6 weeks in advance (though I understand that newborns can spontaneously decide to show up early and will do my very best to accommodate these little people), so please contact me as soon as you are ready for beautiful and unique custom portraits.  Once your session is booked, we’ll discuss location, clothing, and the overall feel of the session.  You’ll receive a digital information booklet with tips to prepare and a full price schedule.

 

Here’s how it works:

To Reserve your date…

All clients pay the creative fees (see below) to commission Laurel for their portraits and reserve their session.    The Creative Fee is also your retainer which holds the date on the calendar and is non-refundable though can be transferred to another date with appropriate notice.  Your session cannot be reserved and your date cannot be held without this payment.

     THE CREATIVE FEES:

• Newborns & Maternity - Focus on the newborn (less than 10 days old) & a few interactions with mom, dad, and siblings.  Add a Mini Maternity to capture your growing belly.
• Family Sessions - Up to 5 members of the same immediate family ($25 additional subjects up to
• Little Ones – Focus on baby and toddlers
•  Kids - Focus on an individual child or up to 4 siblings from the same immediate family
• Teen/Graduate – Focus on the teen; usually 2 plus locations and unlimited outfits

Simplicity Mini Sessions – For those that have already experienced a Signature Session and/or are looking for just a few portraits to capture milestones.

Your Creative Fee includes:  Laurel’s time and talent for one to three hours, a custom styled on-location shoot at your home or alternate location, touchups and attention to each individual image, and 25-30 final portraits presented in a private online gallery.

The Creative Fee does not include your images, either digital or printed; these are purchased separately.  You can choose to purchase your portraits from the a la carte  prices or select from one of our popular collections, which begin at $600.

A La Carte Portraits…

Prices begin at $60 for gift prints (8 x 10 and smaller).  All prints are UV coated for added protection.  Various options for prints, packages, high resolution files, storyboards, Organic Bloom Frames, canvas gallery wraps, DVD slideshows, Fine Art Albums, and Custom Stationary are available.  Please contact me for a full price list.

Viewing your Proofs…

Within 2 to 3 weeks of your photo shoot, you will be able to view up to 25-30 proofs from your session (8-10 for a Simplicity Session).  You can order right through my online ordering system.  Take your time, and make your selections in the privacy of your home as well as share them with all of your friends and family.

You will have access to your gallery for four days once it is posted to place orders.  I will contact you when your gallery is ready to be posted and you will let me know when you are ready for it to go up.  Clients placing an order will have their files archived for one year.

Alternatively, you can choose  to schedule a Design Consultation at the studio – during this time Laurel will be able to display your proofs on a HD screen and show you various wall displays and prepare custom artwork pieces for you.  Your order will be placed at the end of this consultation.

Minimum Orders and Investment…

A minimum $350 print order is required from each session.  This allows the studio to limit the number of sessions each month, thus giving each of my clients the highest quality products and the time and attention they deserve!
