Meet Laurel

That's me on the left receiving my Outstanding Service Award for the work I did for our local professional photography group (PPNCF).

I am a self taught professional photographer and I’ve had the fortune of photographing hundreds of families all across the Gainesville, Florida area for several years.

Before we meet, here are some tidbits about me:

• I am originally from Annapolis Maryland where I grew up in a household of professional musicians – both my parents were in the Naval Academy Band for 20 plus years!
• Much to the surprise of my parents – I became a professional Disc Jockey at 18 and did that for 10 years – you know – when they actually had things called vinyl records!
• I’m a huge U2 FAN! In fact, I met my husband at an Irish Pub in Baltimore and when we later married – we moved to Dublin!
• Speaking of husbands – I HAVE THE BEST! We’ve been married since 1995 and we share the house with three kiddos (Madison 16, Rowan 14, Aidan 9) – I am constantly posting pictures of them on my blog!
• Did I mention my husband is originally from England and has the sexiest accent!
• I started my photography journey while living in England and Ireland with my husband – the landscape is so spectacular. When I started having children – I thought they were pretty spectacular too!
• I talk too much – I love sharing stories and hearing about other people’s experiences – you may have to tell me to shut up! Hey – the kids love it!
• I just discovered Mad Men – and I’m hooked  - I think I’m living in the wrong decade!
• I drink way too much coffee – thanks to my Keurig machine.
• I’m in love with photography and so happy that everyday begins a new story to tell!
