What a perfect way to document a day in the life with your family then by going to the fair! I’ve been dying to use the fair as a location for a family session and was super thrilled when my good friend, professional photographer Shannon Whitaker contacted me about joining her family at the Bradford County Fair last week. I’m really excited with how the pictures came out and I hope I get more opportunities to use the fair as a location for another family session. One of my favorite online resources for books is www.blurb.com – I have used them for my personal photographs including my most recent trip to London – you can check it out here. I recommend the landscape 10 x 8 with the proline paper.

Last week I went to the Bradford County Fair in Starke Florida to photograph a professional photographer and her family (that session will be blogged next) – while there I hooked up with these stunning red heads and their beautiful mommy! I just love the colors of the fair – it’s so nostalgic. The Levy County Fair is coming up in early April – so if anyone is interested in setting up a fun session at the fair – make sure to contact me soon! I am also still taking names for the Wildflower Sessions. It looks like maybe the second weekend of April!

I just love this family. I have known them for several years is this is my second time photographing their family portraits. I had the pleasure of photographing them in the wildflower field last year and so when they called me up to do their holiday portraits – I jumped at the chance. You may recognize them – the are the owners of my favorite funky pizza restaurant – Blue Highway Pizza! They have a store in Town of Tioga and of course their flagship store in Micanopy. Yummy!! This year they decided to have their portraits taken at their home – on several acres and the coolest house! Happy Holidays to you all – and thank you for allowing me into your family circle again – it’s so nice there!

Fall Mini Sessions – Gainesville Florida Family Photographer

This is the only time during the year that I offer Family Mini Sessions. Its perfect for capturing end of year pictures for holiday cards (which I create too) and also purchasing digital files to make your own creations! The colors during this time of year are stunning especially several of the parks nearby. It could almost be New England – except for the shorts! The 20th of November is completely BOOKED but I do have some openings left for the 13th of November between 9.30-12 and also Thanksgiving Weekend! All the details are here.

Last weekend was the opening of what has become a yearly fall ritual – The opening of Coon Hollo Corn Maze! It is more than just a Corn Maze – but a weekend Fall Festival complete with hay rides, train rides, hay bales, corn kernel pits, homemade food from the Country Kitchen, farm animals, tire swings, and new this year – a put put golf course! All included in the price of admission! For photographers – it’s an overload of fall eye candy! I just love it. Above our some highlights from my visit last Sunday – I got a chance to grab a few snapshots of my oldest daughter and my little guy.
