One Light with Rowan

I have been reluctant about getting  my strobe off of my camera for some time now. I have actually owned my SB-800 for about two years and up until a few months ago, couldn’t figure out how to do anything with it other than keep it locked on top of my camera in TTL mode. The idea of actually getting it off my camera and putting it on - dare I say - a light stand with a shoot through umbrella was beyond my comprehensive. That is until I discoverd Zack Arias and the One Light Workshop that he teaches. I recently purchased the One Light DVD and I have to say that it has totally changed the way I view my strobes.  Within a day from watching the DVD I was out and  about with my first “model” using some of the techniques I picked up. Got the strobe OFF the friggin camera..on a stand..in Manual Mode, and totally confident with the relationship between ISO, Shutter, Aperture, & Distance to get what I wanted.  Here is the link to get more info about the One Light DVD -make sure to check out a video sneak peak of the DVD at the site!

Here is my favorite tween model, Rowan, with her bunny, Maggie at our favorite tree we call headquarters.

    Laurel,
These are beautiful pitures of Rowan. You are so good at this. Yo have truly found your calling. I just spent a bunch of time looking through all the updates you have done on your website and it looks truly professional. And I am honored to have pictures of us there.
    Love your sis,
    Liz
