I got an email a few weeks ago from a good friend that he was planning on having a surprise 40th birthday party for his wife, Laura - also a very good friend of mine. The theme was Welcome to the Forties (the decade). What a great idea. The party was going to be at another friend’s house and the plan was that Paul was going to take Laura out for dinner and then stop by their friend’s house to pick up some stuff. We all gathered outside the driveway for the arrival. A stunned Laura came out of the car with tears of joy! The surprise worked and we had a great time! Happy Birthday Laura and Welcome to the Forties!
