Thank you to Carter and his wonderful parents for allowing me to capture some not so “out of the box” portraits from your newborn session. I’m so lucky to have such open and fun clients that give me the freedom to experiment as a photographer. As an artist – I’m always looking for new and original ideas for posing and lighting. I’m constantly either reading about new equipment or going off to master classes to learn from the best photographers in the world. The only way for me to build my portfolio with the new skills I have learned is to have clients that give me the freedom to express these ides and make them my own. I know that my style is not for everyone – and that’s totally o.k. I don’t want to be all things to all people. My clients hire me because of my style – which sets me apart. There is nothing more satisfying then to know that when a client commissions me to capture the most important milestones of their lives – they are doing it because they have made an emotional connection to my style, which makes my job – well really – not so much like a job!
