Happy Valentine’s Day. Here is my lovely daughter Rowan making some incredible heart shaped cupcakes and a heart shaped chocolate chip cookie cake that is to die for! My 10 year old is so talented, it just blows me away. I had bought the baking supplies with the intention of making some cupcakes for Aidan but he decided he wanted to play with his Lego’s instead. Great, I can just chill and put it off for another day. Just as I made the commitment to “rest”, here comes Rowan with, “Hey Mom, can I bake?”. With my eyes just starting to close, I said “go for it!” Not only did she bake the best cupcakes I had ever tasted, she custom iced each and everyone so that no two were alike. She didn’t burn the house down, she didn’t make that big of a mess, and she had fun! What more can I ask for. My creative genius! Happy Valentine’s Day.
P.S. My mom gave me this incredible recipe for meatloaf for tonight and as I was taking this delicious meat to the table filled with hungry children with knives in fork in had, I tripped, fell, and the glass pan along with the meatloaf shattered into a million pieces on the floor. Look for the picture in tomorrows post. I just couldn’t't bear to see it again tonight..but I did take a great shot!
