A playdate with Rowan, Robin, and the D300

I finally had a chance to really test drive the new D300. Coming from the D70s there is a bit of a learning curve but the basics of photography are the same. You just need to learn where the buttons are on the camera to make your adjustments. I normally shoot in Aperture Priority and make adjustments to the ISO, EV, and the Aperture to get what I want. I have been spending more time learning how to shoot in Manual Mode. I need to learn more about how to selective focus using the Focus Lock button and Manual Mode. I am still trying to adjust and get used to shooting this way. Here are some pictures of our playdate day! Can you tell I’ve been looking at alot of Engagement Photo Sessions lately? The girls were great models…and great friends. That’s what makes these pictures all the more beautiful to me! The girl in the blue is my daughter Rowan and Robin is her best friend. Towards the end is a little boy crying…that’s my baby critter Aidan. He was getting very jealous of all the attention I was giving the girls. He found me a flower and gave it to me as we were walking towards the car. Talk about guilt! The photos  were taken in Gainesville, Florida at a lovely park in the N.W. side called Westside Park. Enjoy!

I love the third one down - the girl on the swing. Something so free and youthful about it. All pictures have a great sharpness and clarity to them. What post processing are you doing?
