I finally got a chance to test drive my new D-300 today. I have to tell you I’m lovin it! I is extremly fast and I’m getting used to the controls. I took my kids and a friend to Westside Park today in hopes of getting some shots of the girls playing. I am really happy with the shots I took of them. I will post them tomorrow. As I was leaving the park I noticed that the Dogwoods are already starting to bloom. I just aimed up and shot these pictures. I used my 50mm 1.8 on these shots. There is no color enhancements at all. This is what it looked like SOTC (straight outta the camera). I love the colors!

These pictures you took straight out of the camera makes me want to go out and buy a D300. Although, I don’t have the money at this point…this is my dream camera. Maybe the next version of the D80 will be similar to the D300 and be a lower price in which I can make an upgrade. We shall see.

My D300 arrives on Tuesday! Unfortunately nothing is in bloom, and the skies are gray and dull where I live. I’ll have to read my manual and find other things to shoot! Nice photos.
