I’ve been getting lots of inquiries as to “What is a Lifestyle Session” and what makes it different then a regular session. My Lifestyle Sessions are a totally customized experience from beginning to end. Instead of coming to a studio and getting posed portraits – we’ll go to a fabulous location of your choice and play! I focus on your children and/or your family as a unit - capturing the spirit that makes your baby and family so special. Those tiny moments, funny expressions, those laughs that you’ll remember 50 years from now! Before your session we’ll talk extensively about what it is that you want to capture. From the questions I’ll ask – we’ll figure out the perfect location for your session and even the clothes that should be worn. Do you want a funky urban session using the backdrop of downtown as your walls or would you like more of an environmental setting where we take a cool chair in a field of flowers as the sun is setting. We’ll take however long it takes to get those moments captures. I mark off about 2 hours of time – but it can take longer or shorter depending on every situation. Some of my favorite places to photograph families and children are right downtown in Gainesville or even downtown Alachua. Your home can also be the perfect place – after all – that’s where teh heart of the family is! Here are a few examples of a recent lifestyle session I did at my clients home. She wanted me to capture her very cute 2 year old playing in the morning sun in her own backyard! It was fantastic. Children are much more relaxed in an environment that they are familiar with – like their home – making getting those relaxed and very real smiles all the more naturally!
