On July 18th 2009 – over 1000 cities internationally particpated in the 2nd Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. I was lucky to be the leader of the Gainesville photo walk with the help of my buddy – Aaron Bailey. We have over 30 walkers that came out from as far away as Orlando, Tampa, and JAX. We even had a 25 year reunion of two buddies that hadn’t seen each other in that many years..they found each other through Facebook because of the event! I am posting a couple of my pictures from the walk – but make sure to see everyone’s photos from the walk over at our Flickr Group. I have the tough job of choosing the winning photo from our walk and that person goes on to the semi-finals to win best overall picture from all the cities that participated – need I say – that comes with some awesome prizes! Aaron is working on a fusion HD video incorporating images from the walkers and the video that he shot during the walk. I will send out the link as soon as he finishes. I can’t wait!
I had just the best time meeting EVERYONE that came out. I did not take too many pictures because I was busy answering questions and getting to know everyone. We have some amazing photographers here in Gainesville that I would not have known unless I did this walk and some fantastic photographers outside of the area that I can’t wait to hook up with to check out your city…so thank you for coming out…sharing your knowledge, your experiences, and your friendship.
