(Aidan by the fire: Nikon D70s, AP f/1.8, 1/30th, ISO 1250, 50mm f/1.8 lens shot at 50mm)
It has been very chilly here in the sunshine state this week. Were I live in North Central Florida it has dipped into the teens at night and getting to about 50 degrees during the day! Would you believe there were flurry sightings off the coast of Florida? It’s true! All three of my children are still off from school so we have been hanging out inside staying warm next to our cozy wood burning fireplace. Normally we use the fireplace twice a year - but this week we have kept a log on almost constantly!
I shot the picture above with my 50mm 1.8 at ISO 1250. I held a gold charger plate that I positioned in front of my son’s face to get more of a glow from the fire on his face. It was VERY noisy because of the high ISO. All I did to the picture above was add the Dfine 2.0 filter on it.
Here is another picture of my son with the same settings as the picture above. I did the black and white conversion in Lightroom and ran once through Nik’s Dfine.
