When Gabrielle booked a session with me this week for her two young boys – I could not believe she was coming all the way from Lakeland, Florida! Gabrielle and her family are HUGE Gator football fans and she wanted to have some portraits of her boys in the swamp as a surprise gift for her husband for Father’s Day! What a thoughtful idea! I told her that we could go in the swamp but I could not guarantee (in fact there was a slim chance) that we could get the boys on the field. We can have fun around the field and she was totally fine with that. As we approached the entrance to the swamp we were approached by Coach Ken Carter – the U.F. Running Back Coach! He was so gracious and even agreed to pose with us! Our jaw just dropped! It was such a hot morning and the boys were so good..but they really wanted to run on that field. As we decided to call it a day – I noticed some men around the field and held my camera and asked if we could get the boys down close to the field. Not only did the boys get a chance to go down to the field – but the rare opportunity to actually RUN on the field and play some football with some of the coaches! How cool is that!!!
Thank you Gabrielle and boys for coming to see me all the way from Lakeland – I had such a great time with you and I’m so glad we got a chance to get on the field! Next time you are at the swamp – look up and you may see a Big Ass Fan!
