Gainesville in the Spring is so much fun. There are many great things to do with the kids in and around the Gainesville area. Spring is the best time – before it gets too hot! I had an editorial assignment last weekend at the Millcreek Farm in Alachua which is the home for retirement horses. It is open on on Saturdays between 11 and 3. The farm is sprawling with miles of 4board fencing that contain the most beautiful horses that have been either abandoned or mistreated. If you go – make sure to bring your own carrots and bring a hat!
