Melrose, Florida - My first Christmas Lights

Melrose Holiday Lights

(Nikon D70s, Aperture Priority f8, 1 second exposure, ISO 200, Sigma 10-20mm shot 20mm)

I took my own advise and read up on those wonderful tutorials on taking the best holiday lights on Strobist.com and Photojojo.com and ventured out with my best friend Aaron Bailey on Christmas Eve to shoot this wonderful home. This home is located in a small town called Melrose just about 10 miles outside of Gainesville, Florida. Buddy the owner has been decorating his home for the past 17 years, every year adding  more and more.  It is an amazing site. It is located right on State Road 26. Buddy encourages passerbyers to pull off the road and spend some time walking around the grounds.

Aaron and I arrived about 5 p.m. and waited for the light. I set up the tripod and went to town. I will post the rest of the pictures during this week. I am going to spend the rest of Christmas Eve with my family. I just wanted to pass this photo on tonight to share with you  - and to wish all of you a Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
